Maya Rudolph Returns to Saturday Night Live to Play Beyonce in Jay Z, Solange Knowles Elevator Sketch: Watch Here

Did someone say her name? Former Saturday Night Live cast member Maya Rudolph made a surprise appearance during the show's May 17 episode, playing Beyonce in the opening sketch.

The Bridesmaids star memorably portrayed the pop diva two years ago, when she gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter. This time around she popped up in the sketch centered around the buzzed-about elevator fight between Bey's husband Jay Z and her sister Solange Knowles

Continuing his spot-on impersonation of HOVA, SNL regular Jay Pharoah explained that his wife wasn't there at first because, "She's off making another sexually aggressive music video about a monogamous relationship."

SNL newcomer Sasheer Zamata playing the "Partition" singer's little sister Solange Knowles, who claimed she had no beef with her brother-in-law. The pair replayed the security footage -- this time "with sound" -- claiming that it was all a big misunderstanding, and that Solange was helping to get a spider off Jay.

But Rudolph stole the show when she entered in booty shorts and a sexy top. The comedian is currently preparing for the May 19 premiere of her live variety show, The Maya Rudolph Show
