As Gossip Cop reported, a number of high-profile celebrities are raising awareness for the nearly 300 Nigerian schoolgirls — ages 15 to 18 — who were kidnapped from their boarding school dormitory in Chiboko on April 14 by the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram.
The Oscar-winner yelled into a megaphone, “These Nigerian girls are part of the five percent who are able to seek an education. They were taken from their beds in the middle of the night by cowards — cowards who tell them that girls do not deserve an education.”
Hathaway then led the other protesters, including her husband Adam Shulman, in a chant of “Bring back our girls.”
