Apollo Nida, husband of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks, pled guilty to charges of bank, wire and mail fraud on Tuesday.

He faces up to 30 years behind bars, a fine of $1 million, and approximately $2.5 million in restitution to his victims.

Nida’s scheme was pretty wild.

He created a fake debt collection agency that gained him access to databases with sensitive information about the individuals whose identities he then allegedly stole.

Once he did that, Nida opened phony bank accounts, under the names of the victims, and then deposited stolen U.S. Treasury checks, auto loan payments, and unclaimed money from state and federal agencies.

In court on Tuesday, Nida said he takes “full responsibility for my actions.”

Interestingly, he claimed the pressure to “sustain a lifestyle” that he and his wife had been thrust into when she joined “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” was a catalyst for his illegal activities.

Nida said he got “sucked in and engulfed and lost sight of things,” adding, “It’s my fault at the end of the day.”

He’s slated to be sentenced on July 8.

Taping of the next “Real Houswives of Atlanta” season begins shortly, and will almost assuredly incorporate Nida’s legal troubles and incarceration.
