Wheel Of Fortune Had Its First-Ever Special Needs Contestant And He Was Amazing

He may not have won the game, but he’s still a winner in our book.

21-year-old Trent Girone, who has Asperger and Tourette Syndromes, had dreamed of being on Wheel Of Fortune since he was a toddler. On Wednesday, he not only fulfilled that dream, but also made history as the first special needs contestant on the show.

"I have been a fan of the show since I was at least two years of age," Trent wrote in a blog post. "I love the show and wanted to be part of its history. I thought I would do a great job at solving puzzles."
