(20th Century Fox)

Robin Williams is reportedly attached to star in a potential Mrs. Doubtfire sequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 1993 movie’s director Chris Columbus in on board for the FOX 2000 project, with David Berenbaum penning the script.

A previous attempt at a follow-up fell apart years ago.

The original film, also starring Sally Field, was a mega-success when it hit theaters more than 20 years ago, leading to Golden Globes for Best Picture and Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy.

A rep for Williams could not immediately confirm his involvement to Gossip Cop.
