Mark Wahlberg received the Generation award at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday -- an accolade that was celebrated with a hefty share of F-bombs.

After the award was presented by Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara -- stars of Entourage which Wahlberg executive produced -- the actor seized the opportunity to look back on his career, before and after film.
"I know what this really means -- many people have gotten this award before ... Jim Carrey, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and many others," said Wahlberg, as he stared at his golden popcorn statue. "And do you know what they all have in common? None of them were invited back, they're all too f---ing old! This is the 'you're too f---ing old to come back' award ... this is 'you're f---king done.'"
"But you know what? It was a great run, and I'm a lucky guy in so many ways to have worked with so many talented people, to have gone from literally being incarcerated to having a one-hit rap career to having an underwear modeling career to getting a real chance from Penny Marshall," he continued, pausing only to swear when telling the audience to stop yelling. "I'm about to cry in a minute -- hold on!"

He resumed, telling the audience that his first role in Marshall's Renaissance Man was the moment he felt he found his niche, and that the first film he saw with his father was Hard Times. "It was very inappropriate for an eight-year-old to be seeing it," he said, and as a Boston boy, he never thought he'd be able to make movies someday. "Now all they do is make movies in Boston; they don't make movies in Hollywood anymore!"
Wahlberg closed his speech by plugging the upcoming Entourage film as "the movie of the year next year, I guarantee it," thanking his wife ("I don't know how the f--- that happened, but this is America and anything is possible!") and mentioning the weekend's other highlights: Palm Sunday and victories by boxer Manny Pacquiao and Masters golfing winner Gerry Lester "Bubba" Watson, Jr.
