Zac Efron is set to star in and produce The Associate, based on John Grisham’s popular novel about a Yale Law School graduate who’s forced to work for criminals.
The actor will play Kyle McAvoy, a young lawyer with a dark secret who’s blackmailed and made to spy on the New York law firm he works for.
Efron has had a rough couple of weeks after getting in a fight in downtown Los Angeles, but the incident is apparently not affecting his professional life.
