Matt Lauer and Al Roker will appear in Sharknado 2: The Second One.
The “Today Show” co-hosts announced the news on Wednesday, revealing they filmed their scenes the day before in the NBC studio.

Lauer and Roker also showed clips of their cameos, including one scene where the newsmen attempt to bludgeon a “shark” with an umbrella.
As Gossip Cop reported, Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick, Mark McGrath and Vivica A. Fox are set to join returning stars Tara Reid and Ian Ziering in the highly anticipated sequel about shark-infested weather in New York.
Sharknado 2 is scheduled to debut July 30 on SyFy.
