He may have just won his first Oscar, but Matthew McConaughey can't escape the playful mockery of his awards season antics. On the March 8 episode of Saturday Night Live, seasoned comedian Taran Killam played the Dallas Buyers Club star in a hilarious, spot-on impersonation during the Weekend Update segment.

Sitting down next to new anchor Colin Jost and wearing a white tux similar to the one worn at the Oscars, "McConaughey" was quick to stop Jost, who complimented him on his win.
"Don't congratulate me. Congratulate the man I was a week ago," Killam as McConaughey interrupted. "Congratulate the man I'm chasing. Congratulate the man who never existed."
"And who is that?" Jost asked.
"Me," McConaughey replied.

The bit was a riff on the father of three's introspective acceptance speech at the 86th annual Academy Awards. But Killam went on to get more outlandish and off-topic.
"You've gotta stay ahead of the pack, a lone wolf," he said after Jost asked him about his career. "And I'm hunting, sniffing, hungry for raw meats for the wife kids. Supper time, potluck, and daddy brought it all!"

As Jost fought back laughter and continued to ask questions, Killam kept on mocking McConaughey's previous acceptance speeches, saying, "Now the answer's up there on Neptune, you just can't see it because you didn't bring your telescope."
The Neptune reference was a nod to McConaughey's out-of-this-world SAG Awards speech, which fellow winner Cate Blanchett also mocked during her own speech, teasing, "Matthew McConaughey spoke about Neptune! I think I can have five seconds."
