‘Girls’ Star Lena Dunham to Host ‘SNL’

Girls creator Lena Dunham is making her Saturday Night Live hosting debut.

The outspoken Dunham, who drops by Seth Meyers' Late Night on Thursday, will lead the March 8 installment. Her upcoming book, Not That Kind of Girl, is slated for an Oct. 7 release.

The musical guest for the episode will be The National, who also make their first appearance in Studio 8H. Their documentary, Mistaken for Strangers, hits theaters in late March.

As previously reported, on March 1, The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons and musical guest Beck hit the SNL stage.

SNL is produced in association with Broadway Video. Lorne Michaels is creator and exexutive producer.

With Dunham heading to SNL, what are the odds that this Girls parody (with special guest Tina Fey) will be revived?

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
