Michelle Rodriguez never spoke to The Mirror about Cara Delevingne, and the quotes purportedly confirming a romantic relationship between them are not hers.
The Mirror alleges that Rodriguez went “on the record” to make official the rumors that she and the supermodel are dating.
“It’s going really well. She’s so cool. When we started hanging out I just thought she was awesome, and we have the best time together,” the star is quoted as supposedly saying. “She’s hard though. You wouldn’t want to mess with her in a fight.”
Rodriguez also supposedly explained Delevingne’s absence at an event by saying, “Cara’s at her own fashion week party tonight, so doing her own thing.”
One small problem.
Rodriguez never spoke to The Mirror.
A rep for the actress tells Gossip Cop that Rodriguez “didn’t give an interview” to the outlet.
Of course, that didn’t stop dozens of other sites from racing to use the “quotes” as confirmation of a Rodriguez-Delevingne relationship.
While it’s true that the two women have been spending a lot of time together recently, including their infamously PDA-filled appearance at a New York Knicks game last month, it is simply not true that Rodriguez made any type of official announcement about a possible romance.
