PASADENA, Calif. -- It is in its tenth season, but it looks as if “Grey’s Anatomy” will continue to have a bright future on ABC.

ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee told AccessHollywood.com on Thursday that he continues to be impressed by the show, which he feels is thriving on the network, thanks to the creativity of Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes.

“Shonda Rhimes is one of the greatest writers that our generation has seen,” he told Access following the executive session at the ABC portion of the Television Critics Association Winter Tour in Pasadena.

“She’s continuing to write an immensely powerful show,” he continued. “It makes you laugh and cry every week and what season are we in now? And by the way, to her enormous credit, it’s completely different from ‘Scandal.’”

Lee said the future of the show looks strong for ABC.
