PASADENA, Calif. -- Fox has announced the premiere date for the return of “24.”
“24: Live Another Day,” starring Kiefer Sutherland, will debut with a special two-hour premiere on Monday, May 5.
The returning “24” follows the story of Kiefer’s Jack Bauer as he “attempts to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever,” Fox said in a release.

The series will once again maintain its real-time set up.
Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver and William Devan return to the series in their original roes.

Newcomers to the show include Judy Davis, “Chuck’s” Yvonne Strahovski, Gbenga Akinnagbe from “The Wire,” Giles Matthey and Michael Wincott.
On Monday, Fox also announced “Surving Jack,” a new comedy from executive producer Bill Lawrence (“Scrubs” and “Cougar Town”) will premiere Thursday, March 27 at 8:30 ET/PT, while “Gang Related,” a new drama, hits the airwaves on May 20 at 9 PM ET/PT.
