Glee’s Lea Michele Knocks Over a Piano in ‘Cannonball’ Video Debut

Lea Michele's "Cannonball" music video has officially flown in.

Directed by Robert Hales and styled by Estee Stanley, the visual tale of transformation evokes the mid-tempo track's lyrics of self-empowerment through light beams, wreckage and Michele's two dramatic outfits.

Initially, the Glee actress sits folded over in a dark, destroyed mansion, posed with the same distraught facial expressions she wears when singing an emotional ballad on the Fox show. She knocks over a piano while dressed a black crop top and mid-length tulle skirt with matching black nail polish.

The video then shows light filling the room as she paces and begins to smile. She later emerges in rooms of mirrors, stringed white lights and a backdrop of colored light beams, wearing a short white dress and white nail polish, while smiling from cheek-to-cheek.

"Cannonball" is the first single off her debut album Louder, set to be released on Mar. 4. The track was written by Sia, and the music video debuted on Thursday evening.
