‘Community’ Season Premiere: What Hollywood Is Saying

Community is back, and so is creator Dan Harmon.

The showrunner returned to the NBC show after his 2012 firing (and eventual rehiring) to oversee the fifth season of the Greendale Community College gang's exploits. Harmon's return has been highly anticipated by fans, with a number of people taking to Twitter to express their delight.

"Sometimes I drink regular Coke after months of Diet Coke & realize how much sweeter it is. That's how @danharmon's Community is gonna feel," comedian Kumail Nanjiani tweeted ahead of the two-episode premiere.

The hourlong season opener ("Re-Pilot" and "Introduction to Teaching") showed Jeff (Joel McHale) returning to Greendale as a teacher and introduced Breaking Bad alum Jonathan Banks (Professor Nichols) as a forensic sciences professor who befriended Jeff and showed him the perks of being a teacher.

Among Nichols' big revelations was that the "minus" mark in grades was invented by teachers to drive their students crazy. That payed off later in the form of a student riot near the end of the episode.

Donald Glover addressed his upcoming departure by slamming Zach Braff for only being involved in six episodes of Scrubs during season nine.

"Son of a bitch! After everything Scrubs did for him?” Troy (Glover) said.

Abed (Danny Pudi) gave an epic Nicolas Cage impression after frying his brain when trying to answer a question for class: Is Nicholas Cage a good or bad actor?
