50 Cent can be sued for posting a sex tape featuring Rick Ross’ ex-girlfriend and baby mama Lastonia Leviston.
On Thursday, a New York judge dismissed the rapper’s (real name Curtis Jackson) motion to have Leviston’s 2010 lawsuit dismissed.
The woman sued 50 Cent for emotional distress after he posted a video of her having sex with Maurice Murray on his website in 2009.
The footage wound up getting millions of views across several sites, and Leviston, who never gave permission to have the clip distributed, contends that the incident led to depression and anxiety, allegedly becoming suicidal.
In the sex tape, which 50 Cent purchased from Murray, Leviston’s face is left un-blurred and recognizable.
The rapper edited himself into content as an alter ego character named “Pimpin’ Curly,” motivated by a then-rancorous feud with Ross.
50 Cent had argued that Leviston was exaggerating her distress over the tape.
The judge has now determined that that matter will be up to a jury.
