The Tournament of Roses Parade began in 1890. This year, the famous festival of flower-covered floats will be watched by an estimated 500,000 people and millions of television viewers.

Leclair and Loots' wedding will take place atop a huge, elaborate wedding cake-shaped float which is sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. The float's theme is "Love is the best protection."
This is the first Rose Parade to take place since the Supreme Court's ruling in June brought marriage equality to California.
