The fifth season came to a spectacular end Tuesday night, complete with a slew of chart-topping performances and the emergence of a newly crowned champion.

Prior to the two-hour finale, the competition had been whittled down to Christina Aguilera's Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin and Tessanne Chin, both from Adam Levine's team.
"To see them sound so brilliant and so there in the moment, it's really amazing that they've endured," said Cee Lo Green, wearing a sweat suit striped in diamonds, of the previous night's final performances.
Before naming a winner, Celine Dion performed her hit "Love Can Move Mountains" with Chin, Paramore sang "Ain't It Fun" with Lee and Aloe Blacc partnered with Champlin for "Wake Me Up." Dion also joined Ne-Yo for their new duet "Incredible," OneRepublic also performed "I Lived" and Lady Gaga took the stage for "Do What U Want" with Aguilera.
The episode also included performances by previously eliminated contestants, reuniting for Outasight's "Tonight Is the Night," Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," Bruno Mars' "Treasure," Old Crow Medicine Show's rendition of "Wagon Wheel," "Hold On, I'm Coming" by Sam and Dave and Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You."

At the end of the show, the season five winner was revealed: Tessanne Chin.
Jacquie Lee came in second place, and Will Champlin in third.
The winner then performed "Tumbling Down," an original song penned by Ryan Tedder, the show's newly-appointed in-house songwriter and producer.
"It was interesting because it's kind of a moving target," said Tedder of writing the song without knowing who would eventually be singing it. Though the debut single launch is similar to that of American Idol, the new Voice single falls nowhere between Clarkson's "A Moment Like This" and Candice Glover's "I Am Beautiful."
"Instead of doing the 'standing on a mountaintop, I've won everything' kind of song, we wanted to do a real song about love and heartbreak -- something that people can actually relate to."
Tedder announced that he'll be working with the newly crowned winner on a debut album beginning in January.
