“Californication” is ending.

The show will premiere its seventh — and final — season of 12 episodes in April, Showtime announced on Monday.

David Duchovny stars in the series as Hank Moody, a hard-drinking and womanizing novelist who moves to California for various adventures in bad behavior.

It also features Natascha McElhone, Madeleine Martin, Evan Handler and Pamela Adlon.

“With its unique blend of lyricism and excess, ‘Californication’ has been one of our groundbreaking signature series,” said David Nevins of Showtime in a statement. “We will always be indebted to Tom Kapinos for leading the creative charge on this memorable comedy, and to David Duchovny for making us root for an unapologetic hedonist like Hank Moody.”

He adds, “Tom has carefully planned the final chapter of Hank’s journey and has brought it to a beautiful and satisfying conclusion for new and long-time fans alike.”
