BURBANK, Calif. -- “The Fosters’” Sherri Saum is pregnant with twins and she’s ready to turn to her co-stars next year for a little help after the babies are born
“I have built in babysitters and diaper changers,” Sherri told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman, referring to the show’s cast.
The actress, who plays Lena on the ABC Family series, said she’s entering her second trimester, but it wasn’t long ago when she and her husband, Kamar de los Reyes (her former “One Life to Live” co-star), learned they were expecting twins.

“We went for the first ultrasound and there was one baby and we’re like, ‘Wow! Amazing.’ And then, [during] the second ultrasound, [the tech] was like, ‘There’s a little freeloader in there. There’s another one.’ So it was a shock,” Sherri said. “I was numb for like a week, but a happy numb.”
Sherri said she wasn’t nervous to tell her “The Fosters” bosses about her pregnancy.

“They are so supportive and collaborative… They love kids and I felt, of all the shows I could be on — it’s not like I’m on ‘Alias,’ where I’m running through alleyways [in] skin tight leather pants,” Sherri said. “This is a really good, comfy show for this kind of thing, so I was confident and I was not wrong. They were wonderful.”
One thing Sherri has been enjoying, besides filming “The Fosters” (which returns to ABC Family on January 13), is indulging in her pregnancy cravings. She told Laura she’s been indulging in helpings of Wendy’s chili, In-N-Out burgers and salt and vinegar potato chips.
