On Friday, November 23, authorities charged Charalambopoulos with assault of a family member and impeding breath, a felony in the state of Texas. According to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the 36 year-old appeared in court today and posted a non-arrest bond of $5,000.
The charge against Charalambopoulos stems from an alleged incident that occurred a little over a month ago at the luxury Hotel Zaza in Houston, just days after the ex-wife of Frasier actor Kelsey Grammer underwent surgery for endometrial cancer.

In paperwork filed by Grammer for a temporary restraining order against Charalambopoulos, the former Playmate claimed the two had a verbal argument on October 16 that resulted in her hair being pulled, a smashed iPhone and bruises to her arms and face. Grammer also included photos of her injuries as evidence in the declaration. A hearing regarding the TRO has been postponed to December 10 in Santa Monica, California.
Earlier this month, Access Hollywood sat down with Charalambopoulos for an exclusive interview. During the conversation, the attorney-turned-fitness trainer denied Grammer’s allegations and said he was disappointed and deeply hurt by them.
Kirk Lechtenberger, who represents Charalambopoulos, released the following statement to Access Hollywood over the weekend, in response to the new assault charge: “Unfortunately, the Houston Police Department filed a case against Mr. Dimitri Charalambopoulos notwithstanding the fact that no offense ever happened. This action is not unexpected considering that, in this day and age, anyone can make up anything and get a charge filed. We look forward to going to trial as soon as possible and clearing this innocent man of this false allegation.”
Grammer’s attorney Stanton L. Stein declined comment for this story.
