In the Hunger Games arena, it's a battle for survival, but actor Josh Hutcherson, who plays love interest Peeta Mellark in the popular film adaptations, has no problem having a good time while off camera.

The 21-year-old hosted Saturday Night Live on Nov. 23, and opened the show with a Hunger Games-themed sketch. In it, the cast picked tributes to fight to the death.
New Weekend Update anchor, Cecily Strong, dressed as Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen, side braid and all, and Bobby Moynihan (of Drunk Uncle fame) played her challenger.

Hutcherson clearly enjoyed the skit and even poked fun at his own character, Peeta Mellark, who is often criticized for being the series' damsel in distress.
"You guys probably most know me from the Hunger Games. I play Peeta, the brave young hero who immediately gets hurt and has to be carried around for the rest of the movie," he said.

Hutcherson has plenty to celebrate. Catching Fires officially hit theaters Friday, Nov. 22 raking in $135 million total in both domestic and worldwide sales from its opening day, and the sequel is predicted to have one of the biggest November openings ever.
