NBC took the night among adults 18-49, thanks to a steady Voice pulling a 3.4 rating in the key demo at 9 p.m. The night's top performer across broadcast networks, it was bookended by a slightly dipping Biggest Loser (1.9 adults, down two-tenths) and a boosted return for Chicago Fire (2.2 adults). The latter was up by a tenth of a point from its last showing, winning the 10 p.m. hour. NBC averaged a 2.5 adults rating and 8.5 million viewers for the night.
Both NCIS (2.9 adults) and NCIS: LA (2.4 adults) held even on CBS, leading into a slightly lifted Person of Interest (2.0 adults) -- which was up by a tenth of a point. CBS easily topped the night in viewers with 15.5 million and placed a close second in the demo with a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49.

Agents of SHIELD saw another drop on ABC, falling three-tenths of a point to a new low: a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49. The Goldbergs (1.7 adults) and Trophy Wife (1.2 adults) bucked their lead-in's downward trend, improving a respective two- and one-tenth of a point from the prior week. ABC News special Scandal for Real pulled a paltry 0.8 adults rating. The network averaged a 1.5 in the demo and 4.6 million viewers for the night.
Fox saw dips for all four of its comedies, with Dads (1.2 adults), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (1.4 adults) and The Mindy Project (1.3 adults) all shedding two-tenths of a point. Leader New Girl (1.7 adults) dropped three-tenths of a point to a series low, giving the net a nightly average of a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers.
The CW had a very good night, posting its most-watched Tuesday in four years with and average 2.4 million viewers. The Originals (1.1 adults) improved by two-tenths and Supernatural (1.0 adults) was up by a tenth, giving the network an average 1.1 rating with adults 18-49 for the two-hour block.
