LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- It was a pretty unfortunate night for one couple on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

(SPOILER ALERT: This story contains the results of “DWTS.”)

“Pretty Little Liars” actor Brant Daugherty and his professional partner, Peta Murgatroyd, were eliminated from the Season 17 competition, sending a chorus of boos around the ballroom.

VOTE: Did the right pair go home on “Dancing”?

“I’ve learned something I never thought I’d be able to learn in my life, I learned a lot about myself and I’m just very, very grateful for the opportunity,” Brant said after show co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet delivered the news.

Peta, who clearly had a whale of a time with her partner this season, started tearing up a little bit when she heard they were being eliminated, but she thanked Brant for his hard work.

“He’s just an amazing guy and I’ve just had the best time this season. Thank you so much for making every day a pleasure,” she said.

One thing that brought the pair joy, however, on Monday was performing in front of Cher, who filled in for Len Goodman as a guest judge. She also performed a song on Monday night.

Cher had a blast watching and judging the contestants, most of which she turned her No. 9 paddle for. Jack Osbourne even gave her a giggle when he tangoed alongside partner Cheryl Burke (who was named after Cher).

“I thought it was great,” she said of their 27-point scoring performance. “You looked like a pimp. You looked like a tango-dancing pimp!”

The best score during the first round, though, went to Amber Riley and a shirtless Derek Hough, who steamed up the dance floor as they performed a rumba to Cher’s hit, “If I Could Turn Back Time.”

Cher and Carrie Ann Inaba gave them both 9s, while Bruno Tonioli turned around his No. 10 paddle. Getting the highest score of the night kept the pair from performing in the dance off round.

Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff competed in a cha cha bonus round against Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Valentin Chmerovskiy, but the former pair impressed the judges enough to take the additional 3 points.

Brant and Peta took on Leah Remini (who had Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart cheering her on) and Tony Dovolani, but the latter pair won that rumba round.

Finally, Jack and Cheryl competed against Bill Engvall and Emma Slater in disco style, but the former couple took that prize.
