LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Did you survive Halloween? I’m so tired, but at least we get an extra hour of sleep this weekend as Daylight Savings Time ends.
Here are a few ways to get you going in November.
HOLIDAY FILMS KICK OFF: This month is a great time to hit the movie theater for all the holiday movies. For blockbuster action, Katniss and the gang are back in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire out November 22. Leonardo DiCaprio teams up with director Martin Scorses for the fifth time for the stockbroker biopic “The Wolf of Wall Street” on November 15, and for romance buffs, there’s “About Time” starring Rachel McAdams coming out November 8.
CHEAP CHIC DESIGNER COLAB: H & M teams with beloved French Designer Isabel Marant on a collection available November 14th both in stores and online. There is clothing, jeans, shoes and jewelry…all featuring Marant’s signature cool girl boho vibe. I have my eye on the embroidered jacket, but know it will be hard, if not impossible, to score, everyone will be going for that!
GAGA FOR THE LADY: The pop icon’s much hyped and much anticipated fourth album “ARTPOP” finally drops November 11. Get ready to dance all over again!
HOLIDAY NAILS: Essie kicks off the holidays with the Winter 2013 “Shearling Darling” Collection, which debuts this month. There are six new shades featuring both pastels and deep rich colors. As you would expect, the polishes have essie’s signature clever names like “parka perfect,” a shimmering gray and “warm and toasty turtleneck,” a pretty light pink. $8.50 a bottle at essie.com.
GET HOLIDAY GORGEOUS: Celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff, who has worked with everyone from Katy Perry to Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba, is introducing a new, affordable makeup collection this month, “Star Pallettes.” There are four different compacts to create four looks and each set includes eyeshadows, blush, eyeliner and lipgloss. Pati got the idea for the compacts after giving her celebrity clients small makeup kits for touchups on the red carpet. The set of four palettes is $29.99 at Costco.
