Kim Kardashian is suing YouTube’s co-founder for allegedly leaking footage of Kanye West’s proposal.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, video of West down on one knee was published online via MixBit, a new video company, in the days after West popped the question at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

In a lawsuit, Kardashian says Chad Hurley, who co-founded both YouTube and MixBit, is the man responsible for the leak.

According to legal documents, Kardashian alleges Hurley wasn’t even invited to the event — which was planned as a surprise party for her 33rd birthday with her closest friends and family in attendance — but finagled his way in.

When he was granted permission to stay, Hurley signed a confidentiality agreement and was even photographed holding the contract.

But Kardashian alleges that didn’t stop him from trying “to turn the event into one starring himself, broadcasting the images he knew were the exclusive property rights of someone else.”

The lawsuit points out that Hurley not only posted the footage online, but tweeted it to his 900,000-plus followers, and even sent out a press release heralding the video.

The documents also hint that official proposal video was intended to be broadcast on Kardashian’s reality show.

Kardashian is suing for unspecified damages, says TMZ.
