Ellen DeGeneres ends each show by telling viewers, “Be kind to one another,” and she lived up to the mantra on Friday.
The talk show host invited Sarah Hoidahl, a New Hampshire waitress and single mom who recently paid out of her pocket for two furloughed National Guard soldiers’ lunch, to talk about her good deed, which went viral thanks to Facebook.
What Hoidahl didn’t know was that DeGeneres planned to pay her back — and then some.
