“The Voice” coaches discussed season 11 and shared what they’re thankful for during an interview broadcast on Tuesday’s “Today” show. Check out the video below!
The chat with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, and Alicia Keys took place with host Carson Daly as they went on the Universal Studios backlot tour. He amusingly noted, “We don’t always do the tram ride when we’re at work on ‘The Voice.'” But it provided a fun backdrop for the conversation.
With his trademark confidence, Shelton said, “It’s always exciting to have new coaches — new people to beat. Makes me happy. You get tired of beating the same old people over and over again. Now I get to see the look of disappointment on two new people’s faces.”
Keys acknowledged, “Honestly, who doesn’t love to win? But I think the most important thing is we’re leaving the artists [with] something they can take with them on their journey in life… Of course, I would love to whoop Blake’s booty.” Cyrus also observed, “We’re so lucky to be together.”
With Thanksgiving coming up, Daly asked each coach to say what they’re thankful for this year. Shelton replied simply “new beginnings,” while Keys touted her new album. Cyrus expressed gratitude “for this show giving my [Happy Hippie Foundation] platform even more of a boost, of a raise.” And Levine said he’s thankful for “how lucky I am every single day to have an amazing life, have an amazing daughter and an amazing family and wife.” Watch below!
