Jordan Smith returned to “The Voice” Tuesday and performed “O Holy Night.” Watch below!
Last week, host Carson Daly announced that the season 9 winner would be coming back to the NBC competition for a special holiday performance. The twist: Viewers would be able to choose which song Smith sang off his new Christmas album, Tis The Season. Now, hours before the live broadcast, he excitedly posted on Instagram, “TONIGHT I’ll be back on the @nbcthevoice stage to perform a song that YOU picked! Thanks to everyone who voted — I’m dying to find out what it is!”
The winning track was “O Holy Night.” There’s a good chance fans may also get to see Smith sing the song again on his just-announced “Tis The Season” TV special. He told People in a new interview, “The special is about me inviting some of my fans, friends and family into the studio, and getting to play with a live band. I got to perform songs from my album Tis the Season in an intimate studio setting, and I got to tell some stories behind the songs.”
Smith will also appear on both “CMA Country Christmas” and “Christmas In Rockefeller Center.” Tis the season, after all! As for “The Voice,” this is the singer’s second return since his big victory nearly a year ago. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, Smith stopped by the show earlier this year to perform his single, “Stand In The Light.”
Following this new performance, former coach Adam Levine presented Smith with a special honor. Check out the full video below!
