James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess performed a perfect fusion dance of a foxtrot and Viennese waltz during the “Dancing With The Stars” finale on Tuesday. Watch the “DWTS” video below.
During part one of the finals on Monday, Hinchcliffe performed two routines that were virtually flawless. For his first dance, a foxtrot to Harry Connick Jr.’s “It Had To be You,” the race car driver scored 37 out 40 points. Bruno Tonioli called the dance “top quality,” while Len Goodman felt it was “fantastic.” And Julianne Hough noted that Hinchcliffe always puts together the “perfect package” when he tells a story while dancing. For their foxtrot, Hinchcliffe and Burgess received 37 out of a total of 40 points.
Hinchcliffe’s second dance was a freestyle to The Piano Guys’s “Beethoven’s 5 Secrets,” and it was nothing short of perfection. Goodman said, “It was wonderful dancing.” Carrie Ann Inaba declared, “You are the miracle man of Season 23.” Tonioli exclaimed, “It was another ‘Dancing With The Stars’ memorable moment.” “That’s one of the best freestyles I ever seen,” gushed Hough. Not surprisingly, Hinchcliffe and Burgess were awarded with a perfect score.
For Hinchcliffe’s very last routine on “Dancing With The Stars,” Goodman told the resilient race car driver, “I wish I could dance like you.” Tonioli added, “What a class act this is.” Hough offered, “I’m so emotional watching you guys.” And Inaba expressed that they made the “perfect choice for a fusion dance.” Hinchcliffe’s fusion dance earned him yet another perfect 40 out of 40 possible points.
