The 2016 American Music Awards honor the best in all genres of music on Sunday. Gossip Cop has a full list of the winners below!
As Gossip Cop reported, the nominations for the 44th annual AMAs were announced last month. Drake led the pack with a whopping 13 nominations. That originally included the top honor, Artist of the Year.
The category initially had 10 contenders, including the rapper, but was later narrowed down. Strikingly, he didn’t make the final cut. Those still in running for the prize are Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, and Carrie Underwood.
The winner for that and all other categories are chosen by fans, who were able to cast their votes online. And for the first time, each genre has its own Favorite Song award, instead of the all-encompassing Song Of The Year category. Other new additions this year include Tour Of The Year and Video Of The Year.
Meanwhile, Sting will receive the American Music Award Of Merit. The three-hour ceremony is slated to start at 8 p.m. Eastern, and will be broadcast on ABC. Gossip Cop will be updating the winners list live as each award is announced. In the meantime, check out all the categories below!
