The drama returns down from last fall's highs, but manages to best recent episodes in its shift from Monday.
America's Got Talent wrapped its resurgent season on another dominant note, climbing more than 20 percent from last year's finale.
NBC's two-hour live results averaged a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49 and 14.1 million viewers, capping off the highest-rated season since 2013 — and the most-watched since 2011. Live-plus-seven day returns have the overall showing in the key demo up 7 percent from last summer, a pretty remarkable feat in the current climate of waning live tune-in.
The lead helped introduce Blindspot to its new night. Before shifting to 8 p.m. next week, where it will open the night, last year's top broadcast debut started its second season with a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49. That's admittedly down from the lofty post-Voice premiere a year ago, but better than its last showings on Monday.
Fox's MasterChef finale rose to a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49, up two-tenths of a point from the penultimate episode. And, on CBS, Big Brother held steady with a 1.7 rating in the key demo.
