Bye-bye, bad blood! Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are texting again after their headline-making split in June, a source confirms to Us Weekly.
“It was a very brief, simple text exchange,” the source tells Us. “They are going to run into each other around town and at events, and they need it to be cool. So if the media sees them in the same place, they won’t start freaking out. They are cool again but absolutely [have] no plans to get back together. It was more of an olive branch between them.”
Neither Swift nor Harris’ camps responded to requests for comment. TMZ was first to report on the cease-fire.

The insider also confirmed to Us that the Scottish DJ’s new hit, “My Way,” is not about Swift, 26, despite rumors to the contrary. (The lyrics include lines like: “Why wait to say, at least I did it my way / Lie awake, two-faced / But in my heart I understand / I made my move and it was all about you / Now I feel so far removed.”) Harris also previously confirmed the song isn’t about his former flame.
The exes’ decision to make amends is a big departure from their not-so-cordial breakup. After news broke of their split in June, Swift was spotted smooching Tom Hiddleston two weeks later.
Then, in July, Harris, 32, lashed out at the “Wildest Dreams” singer over her role in the creation of his summer hit, “This Is What You Came For,” after she publicly acknowledged the once top-secret collaboration.
“I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though,” he tweeted on July 13 shortly after praising Swift for her help in penning the track. “And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym. Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”

“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship [with Hiddleston] you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” he added. “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it. Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you’ve earned a great one. God bless everyone have a beautiful day.”
The pair continued to avoid one another — and even briefly unfollowed each other on social media — in the subsequent months, during which Swift had a whirlwind summer romance with Hiddleston, 35.
She and the British actor called off their three-month relationship in early September after they had a big fight in August.

“It was an intense start,” a Hiddleston insider told Us of the pair’s globe-trotting, high-profile romance. “No one can keep that kind of momentum going.”
Added another source: “They get along great and will remain friends, but they just don’t see it working romantically right now.”
