Sal Valentinetti performed with the cast of Jersey Boys on the “America’s Got Talent” finale on Wednesday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, the season 11 finals took place on Tuesday. Valentinetti opened the two-hour broadcast with a performance of “Mack The Knife,” for which he received a standing ovation. But ovations are nothing new for the aspiring crooner.
Valentinetti has received them, along with high praise from the panelists, every time he’s performed on the NBC competition. His journey was set in motion during the auditions, when he earned the Golden Buzzer advantage from Heidi Klum. Since then, he was considered one of the favorites, despite not making it past “Hollywood Week” on “American Idol” in 2014.
The singer’s appeal is in not just his spot-on renditions of the standards, but also his personality. He may be from modern-day Long Island, but his charm, charisma and confidence are right in line with the old-school Jersey Boys persona. He humbly said following Tuesday’s performance, which coincided with his 21st birthday, “Win, lose or draw, I’ll remember this night for the rest of my life.”
Gossip Cop has a feeling that he’ll remember this night for the rest of his life, too. Check out the full Jersey Boys performance below! UPDATE: Valentinetti finished in fifth place. Grace VanderWaal is the winner of “America’s Got Talent.”
