It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship,” their joint statement read. “While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy.”

The pair first started dating in 2005, and never married. They share sons Alexander "Sasha”, 9, and Samuel, 7.
During a 2011 interview with Easy Living, Watts explained their relationship. "We're very much together. We just don't have that certificate, and that's okay with both of us," she shared of their decision to not wed. "Maybe one day, we'll just wake up and go 'Hey, let's do this.' And maybe not."
The exes were last spotted out together with their kids in New York City on September 13.
