"Ernie Ball: The Pursuit of Tone" focuses its next episode on Maroon 5's James Valentine, and AccessHollywood.com has an exclusive sneak peek.
In the clip, James shares what it felt like when Maroon 5 won the Best New Artist Grammy in 2005.
"It still seems like a dream," he says in the clip. "We were not favored to win. We figured Kanye West, who was also nominated – he was going to win, so when they announced our name, it was genuine shock.
"That whole night was so magical, and it really felt like after that night that we had arrived," he adds.
James also shared stories from making the band's second LP, "It Won't Be Soon Before Long," in a house in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, after their Best New Artist Grammy win.
The sneak peek also features some rare, behind-the-scenes footage of the band as they recorded their second album.
