Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston have NOT split over his ex Heidi Bivens, despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the report.
The new cover of In Touch falsely announces, “SPLIT! After Jen Catches Justin With His Ex!” Inside the magazine, a headline similarly reads, “Jen & Justin Split After He’s Caught With His Ex!” It’s further said, “Justin Theroux walks out on Jennifer Aniston following an explosive fight.”
What supposedly happened? Well, according to the outlet, “He seemed so comfortable with the person on the phone. Justin Theroux was laughing and chatting when his wife, Jennifer Aniston, walked in. After he hung up, she asked who he was talking to — but his reply wasn’t what she wanted to hear.”
“He said he was talking to Heidi,” a so-called “insider” claims to the publication. “They’ve stayed in contact ever since they broke up, and Jen hates it. She let him have it, saying it was the last time she ever wanted to hear about that woman.”
So, Theroux being “caught with his ex” was actually him being caught talking on the phone. The article goes on to claim that the actor has “no intention of ceasing contact with Heidi… even though it’s putting a huge strain on his already shaky marriage.” A supposed “friend of Jen’s” says that after the ensuing argument, “when Justin walked out on Jen to return to Australia for [“The Leftovers”], they were split.”
And yet, despite blaring “split” on the cover,” the alleged “friend” later acknowledges, “Justin and Jen are going to be together again.” In other words, there was no real point to this story, except for the tabloid trying to dupe readers into thinking Aniston and Theroux had broken up. It’s certainly not the first time the outlet has run a misleading cover.
Indeed, the magazine has been printing “split” covers about Aniston and Theroux since they started dating years ago, and has run quite a few “divorce” ones since they married last year. None of them were true, however, and this one isn’t either. A rep for Theroux exclusively confirms to Gossip Cop that he and Aniston have NOT split, and Bivens is NOT affecting their marriage.
What’s more, though, is that this In Touch tale isn’t even original. RadarOnline falsely claimed Aniston caught Theroux “making secret calls” to Bivens back in April. And that story was based on a debunked National Enquirer piece. It’s like the blind leading the blind leading the blind. Ridiculous.
