Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are NOT “back together,” despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the inaccurate report.
The new cover of Life & Style touts, “Inside their secret plans as the exes rekindle their relationship 12 years later.” Inside the magazine, a headline declares, “Ben & J.Lo’s Second Chance Love!” It’s said, “Reunited at last! After their relationships crumble, exes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez reconnect.”
“With J.Lo suddenly single and Jennifer Garner preparing to officially file for divorce from Ben, the former couple have been busy reconnecting,” writes the outlet. A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “They’ve been talking on the phone for hours at a time. Their relationship was always intense and had a lot of passion. It’s like they are back together already.”
It’s alleged Lopez “made the first move.” The supposed source claims, “After splitting from Casper [Smart], she reached out to Ben. She thinks he could be the one and is convinced they’ll make the perfect couple.” As for Affleck, it’s said he’s “open to reuniting, too.” The alleged tipster even adds, “Once his divorce is official, she’d love to be running around town with him.”
And yet the tabloid goes on to acknowledge that Affleck and Lopez haven’t even spent any time “face to face” and still need to “arrange an in-person date.” But here we have the magazine’s cover announcing they’re “back together.” What’s especially ridiculous is this cover story comes just weeks after a previous Life & Style cover falsely announced Lopez was pregnant with Smart’s baby.
Now here we are a month later with zero mention of the supposed pregnancy. That’s because that tale was as made up, as is this new one. Asked about the Affleck claims, a rep for Lopez exclusively tells Gossip Cop the allegations are “so stupid.”
And a contact close to Affleck’s side also deems the cover story “crazy.” “They have their own lives,” notes our contact. Lopez and Affleck have moved on separately. It’s lost past time the gossip world did, too.
