Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger previewed their new New York Fashion Week collection on Friday’s “GMA.” Watch below!
Hadid, of course, is best known as a rising model and has walked in a number of Hilfiger shows. But now the star is adding “designer” to her resume. She designed the “TOMMYxGIGI” collection, which will be available worldwide beginning Saturday. The set includes not just clothing, but accessories like handbags, too.
And while the European launch took place last week, the collection will have its official U.S. debut with a New York Fashion Week presentation on Friday night. But Hadid and Hilfiger were at “Good Morning America” bright and early for a mini fashion show. Models strutted across the studio like they owned the place, showing off everything from trench coats to overalls and sweater dresses.
Hilfiger said of Hadid, “She has an amazing sense of style, but at the same time as being a supermodel, she’s probably the most important social media star in the world. She has more followers and more fans across the globe than anyone else. She also has her feet on the ground.”
“They say a lot of models are this and that. This girl has a brain,” the fashion maven went on to praise, leading Hadid to exclaim, “I’m going to cry!” Check out the full video below!
