Desiigner is no longer facing charges for gun possession and drug selling. He is, however, still charged with drug possession.
As Gossip Cop reported, Desiigner was arrested after he was allegedly involved in a road rage incident in New York City on Thursday night. As a passenger in an SUV, he reportedly got into an argument with a driver of another car. That driver called 911, alleging he had pointed a gun in their direction.
Police tracked down Desiigner’s ride, where drugs were found. He and four others that he was with were all taken into custody for drug possession and intent to sell. But because of the driver’s gun claims, Desiigner was also booked for possession of a loaded weapon and menacing.
But since cops have not located the alleged gun, the prosecutor is no longer pursuing that charge. In addition, the intent to sell charge is also off the table. But Desiigner and his pals will still be arraigned for felony possession of a controlled substance, as police reportedly found a substantial amount of steroids, Oxycontin, and methadone.
Desiigner has been behind bars since the arrest, with his arraignment scheduled for Saturday morning. He will presumably plead not guilty, after which bail will be set. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.
UPDATE: Following the arraignment, Desiigner was released on his own recognizance. At the hearing, the star’s attorney claimed all the pills, despite having different appearances, are all anabolic steroids prescribed the driver of the SUV. See video of Desiigner leaving court below.
