Tupac Shakur died on September 13, 1996, six days after being shot several times during a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. Celebrities are now paying tribute to the iconic rapper on the 20th anniversary of his death. See stars’ tweets below.
Snoop Dogg, who was a close friend of Shakur’s, posted a prayer hands emoji, along with a black-and-white sketch of himself and the late rapper. Meanwhile, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein quoted Shakur, writing, “Instead of a war on poverty, they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me.” Alyssa Milano also tweeted one of the late rapper’s quotes, saying, “Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside while still alive. Never surrender.”
NeNe Leakes simply wrote, “Remembering #TupacShakur,” while Eliza Dushku expressed, “#tupac 20 years. #respect.” DJ Pauly D offered, “Gone, but not forgotten… 20 years ago today. #RIP #TupacShakur.” And Sway Calloway said, “Wow, can’t believe it’s been 20 years… we still miss you, Pac.”
