Sunday is 9/11, the 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. In recognition of the tragic day, stars are paying tribute to the lives lost and sharing their reflections on Twitter. See celebrity tweets below.

Lady Gaga tweeted, “God Bless all the men and women who died in the attacks or fight to save lives during the Sept. 11 attacks #WeWillNeverForget #NewYorker.” Josh Gad wrote, “The searing memories #September11 will never leave me, but the way we all CAME TOGETHER will always inspire me. I hope we get there again.” Danica Patrick said, “Crazy that 9-11 was 15 years ago! Such a horrible thing, but our country has been made stronger and smarter through struggle. #NeverForget.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar posted, “‘What separates us from the animals, what separates us from the chaos, is our ability to mourn people we’ve never met’ #NeverForget15years.” Arnold Schwarzenegger offered, “Never forget the lives lost. Never forget the first responders who charged toward danger. Never forget our unity and resolve. #neverforget.” And Carson Daly shared a photo of his son lowering the American flag in their yard, writing, “Thinking of all the heroes we lost 15 yrs ago today. God bless the #USA. #NeverForget #911.”

“Life is so precious & I pray for everyone who was affected by this awful tragedy. #NeverForget911,” tweeted Kim Kardashian. Kris Jenner wrote, “15 years ago today. Our thoughts will forever be with the families of those who lost their lives that tragic day.” Lil Wayne told followers, “My heart, thoughts, & prayers go out to those that lost their lives on this day in ’01. As well as their families. Love.”

Connie Britton also said, “I’ll never forget that day. First responders. Families. Those lost. Heroes. Forever changed. #NeverForget #lovenothate #15yrs.” Andy Cohen commented, “We remember the day…the people we lost…the heroes who rose …the city that came together. After 15 years the emotion and sadness does not dissipate.” Ryan Seacrest stated, “remembering today and every day. Many thx to the heroes we lost and those who continue to keep us safe #September11 #NeverForget.”

In anticipation of Sunday football, Rob Lowe remarked, “Dear @NFL Any player wants to boycott the anthem on 9/11 should be asked to remain in the locker room until kick off. It’s not their moment.” Rosie Perez posted, “To those we’ve lost. To those who survived. To the 1st responders. To the families who bravely live on. We will #NeverForget. #September11.” Marlee Matlin tweeted to fans, “#NeverForget and always #Remembering911. #WhereWereYou when it all happened?”

She went on to write, “#Remembering911 with the spirit of service. Do something for your neighbor in need, your community, your country.” On Instagram, Snooki wrote, “Can’t believe it’s been 15 years since this terrifying and horrible day for America. Still can remember being so scared in 8th grade study hall not knowing what was going on. Remembering all the souls lost that day. RIP.” And Nicky Hilton noted, “Proud to be born and raised in New York especially on days like today #NeverForget.”

“15 years later we are united with our heads held high and we will never forget #911,” tweeted LL Cool J. Hugh Jackman simply said, “We will always remember….” Alyssa Milano declared, “#NeverForget Ever.” Kourtney Kardashian said, “I will #neverforget this day 15 years ago. Reflecting on the absence but also remembering the strength and courage.” And Ivanka Trump tweeted the hashtags, “#NeverForget #Remembering911.”

Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton wrote on Twitter, “We’ll never forget the horror of September 11, 2001. Today, let’s honor the lives and tremendous spirit of the victims and responders.” And former president Bill Clinton said on his own page, “As we reflect on the lives we lost 15 years ago in NY, VA & PA, we honor them best by defeating terrorism and embracing our common humanity.”
