Britney Spears Admits She’s ‘Very Boring’ & Doesn’t Listen To Her Own Music

Britney Spears likes to live in the present, especially when it comes to her work.

In a new interview with Flaunt magazine, the pop superstar admitted that she doesn't necessarily pay attention to the results of her labor once she's out of the studio.

"It's funny, because I don't really listen to my music," she said.

"My kids do and my nieces do," she added. "I'm about the creative process. I'm in the moment of being creative and then I put it out there."

While Britney acknowledged that she's inevitably exposed to her hits on a regular basis as part of a rigorous performance schedule, she still prefers to focus on what's ahead.

"Of course, I sing my songs every night [at her ongoing residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas] and I have to listen to it that way, but I'm all about change," she explained. "And new. And forthcoming."

When asked whether she considers the legacy she'll leave behind, however, Brit did say that she's glad her fans have finished products to hold on to.

"But, there is a part of me in my music and I hope, for my fans, that they can have that part of me when they hear me on the radio, or buy my CD, or whatever they do," she said.

The 34-year-old's latest album, "Glory," reached No. 1 on iTunes in 40 countries upon its Aug. 25 debut, but Britney revealed that once the record was wrapped she'd already moved on.

"It's done, but I have no idea when anything's coming out," she told the mag of her ninth studio release.

Britney does have plenty to concentrate on away from the spotlight, as she continues raising her two sons. The "Make Me" singer revealed how keeping a simplified lifestyle in recent years has been one change she's fully embraced.

"I'm actually a very boring person. I don't go out. I don't really do anything," she shared. "I should be Mother Mary, seriously. I think my life has done a complete 360. Things are just different now. It's a different time. It's a different era."
