Brian Justin Crum sang “Man In The Mirror” for his “America’s Got Talent” finals performance on Tuesday. Check out the video below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, Crum has been one of the standout singers during season 11 of the NBC competition. He’s repeatedly wowed with inventive covers of “Somebody To Love,” “Creep,” and “In The Air Tonight.” And after Crum performed “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” for the semifinals last week, Howie Mandel deemed him the “best” of the night.
But he wasn’t the only singer to make it to tonight’s final round. With steep competition from the likes of Grace VanderWaal, Laura Bretan and Sal Valentinetti, Crum had to give his best performances yet and win America’s vote one last time. For that, he went with his version of Michael Jackson’s “Man In The Mirror.”
And like all the acts before for him, Crum received a standing ovation from the entire panel. Mel B gushed afterward, “Brian, Brian, Brian. I mean, every time you perform it’s just absolutely stunning. That was a risk to do that song, but I think that risk is going to pay off because you owned it and made it your own.”
Heidi Klum sad, “I mean, no one sings with that much drama, with that much intensity, like you just did. It was really powerful. It felt like you were singing for your life today — or a million dollars.” Simon Cowell admitted that at first he thought the song choice was a “huge mistake, and then halfway through, I thought, you just made the best decision of your life with that song.”
“It’s really incredible,” he went on, adding, “You are just a naturally-brilliant performer. Congratulations.” And Howie Mandel deemed the performance “epic.” Watch below!
