Brandi Glanville is hitting back at a report claiming she owes more than $100,000 in back taxes. The reality star doesn’t seem to be denying that there is a tax lien against her, but rather is insisting that she doesn’t deserve it.
According to TMZ, the IRS is seeking $29,396.35 in unpaid taxes for 2013, as well as $82,448.38 for 2014. Glanville, however, insists she paid up. She tweeted a few hours after the story came out, “@TMZ I’ve ALWAYS paid my taxes! I had a biz manager that tells me what to pay. I’ve NEVER not paid. I have new accountants re-doing my returns.”
It’s not clear if Glanville plans to appeal the judgment. It is possible that she unintentionally paid an incorrect amount. Regardless, it sounds like she plans to get the financial situation under control.
The “Famously Single” star is also hardly the first celebrity to allegedly run afoul of tax laws. In fact, she’s the second “Real Housewives” star to have such issues in recent months and then fight back. Last month, the Daily Mail said NeNe Leakes owed more than $800,000 to the government.
But in response, she sarcastically tweeted, “4 all those that r asking, reporting & concern…Yes I am broke & unemployed. Just another dumb Celeb that doesn’t know how 2 money manage. My priorities r all screwed up! I’m just a damn fool out here about to lose my house! Please start a Go Fund Me.”
