Brad Pitt is “committed to doing what’s best for the kids,” reveals an insider, who notes that despite being on the receiving end of negatively spun stories, some of which are entirely unfounded, the actor believes Angelina Jolie is a “good mom.” Gossip Cop can also exclusively confirm that Pitt has “not seen” his six kids since Jolie filed for divorce, and that he will seek an equitable custody agreement.

As for the incident on the private jet that included an altercation with the couple’s oldest child, 15-year-old Maddox, Gossip Cop’s insider assures us that while there was contact, there was nothing violent or “inappropriate.” The family has had “lots of great moments and periodically disagreements,” says our source, who adds the argument was of the nature that any “normal family” has, but is possibly being overly scrutinized because Jolie, Pitt and their children, by extension, are so “high-profile.”

Pitt, we’re told, is just “alright,” but not seeing his kids and being attacked by the media and others, who don’t have the full facts, is “very difficult” for him. While so-called friends of Jolie have seemingly been more willing to attack Pitt, sources connected to the actor have disparaged her to Gossip Cop. On the contrary, our Pitt sources just stress his love for his children, his belief Jolie’s a wonderful mother, and his desire that cooler heads prevail as they sort out the divorce and custody arrangements.

As Gossip Cop reported, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on Monday, citing “irreconcilable differences.” In her court papers, the actress noted that she was seeking sole custody of their six children. Since then, there have seen a slew of articles about the couple, and Gossip Cop has and will continue to separate what’s fact and what’s fiction in the Jolie and Pitt split.
