Hand of God is going to be two and out at Amazon.

The streaming service will wrap the dramatic thriller starring Ron Perlman with its second season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Season two, announced in December, will return at a yet-to-be announced date in 2017.

From Burn Notice's Ben Watkins, Hand of God marked director Marc Forster's TV debut. The drama stars Ron Perlman as a hard-living, law-bending married judge who suffers a mental breakdown and goes on a vigilante quest to find the rapist who tore his family apart. He begins to rely on visions and messages he believes are being sent by God through his ventilator-bound son. Dana Delany co-stars as the judge's wife and Garret Dillahunt as a born-again sociopath whose violent tendencies are exploited by the judge.

The decision to wrap the series comes as Amazon has a drama slate that also includes The Man in the High Castle as well as the upcoming David E. Kelley drama Goliath and Good Girls Revolt due later this year.

While Amazon — like other streaming services — does not release ratings, it's rare for a series on a digital platform to come to such an early end. It follows the one-season run of Shawn Ryan's Mad Dogs, one-and-done run of comedy Betas and two-season run of Alpha House.
