Tom Cruise is NOT quitting Hollywood and moving to the Church of Scientology’s headquarters in Florida, despite a fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”
According to the National Enquirer, the movie star has put all of his properties up for sale and is permanently relocating to Scientology’s “spiritual headquarters” in Clearwater, FL where he’ll supposedly take a “superpowers” course. A so-called “source” tells the magazine Cruise’s decision to allegedly quit the film business is because he’s “lost his box-office magic.”
But the first major flaw with the outlet’s story is that the actor has three upcoming films already in the can, and several more in development, including another Mission: Impossible sequel that’s expected to shoot this Fall. Suffice to say, Cruise isn’t stepping down from the big screen anytime soon. Regardless, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the actor, who exclusively tells us he’s not moving to Scientology headquarters in Florida, and he’s obviously not quitting Hollywood either. We’re told the tabloid’s claim otherwise is simply “false.”
Of course, Gossip Cop has busted the Enquirer’s many tall tales about the movie star. We previously shot down the magazine’s ridiculous claim Cruise was trying to “dethrone” Queen Elizabeth. And shortly before that, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid for falsely reporting Cruise believes his daughter Suri is possessed by an “evil spirit.” The publication’s latest story about the actor is equally bogus.
