Liza Snyder previously starred on the network's long-running multicam.
The search is over for Matt LeBlanc's new TV wife.
Liza Snyder (Yes, Dear) has joined the Friends star's upcoming CBS sitcom Man With a Plan, CBS announced Monday.
Snyder replaces Jenna Fischer, who appeared in the original pilot but departed the project when it was formally picked up to series in May.
Snyder will portray Andi, Adam’s (LeBlanc) self-assured wife who returns to the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom for 13 years. Subsequently, Adam agrees to take on more parenting responsibilities at home.
The casting comes a week before CBS' presentation at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
The role brings Snyder back to CBS, where she starred on the long-running multicam Yes, Dear for six seasons. Before that, she starred on Jesse, which was exec-produced by Friends creators Kevin Bright, David Crane and Marta Kauffman.
For LeBlanc, Man With a Plan marks his highly anticipated return to broadcast after Friends' 10-year run (and after Joey's brief two-season run.) He most recently starred on Showtime's Episodes, which is gearing up for its fifth and final season. LeBlanc also exec produces the series with Jackie Filgo, Jeff Filgo, Michael Rotenberg and Troy Zien.
CBS is betting on several former comedy series stars with its 2016-17 comedy slate. Longtime network star Kevin James, who starred on King of Queens, headlines Kevin Can Wait, which will also air on Monday alongside Man With a Plan. Community star Joel McHale toplines the network's The Great Indoors.
Man With a Plan premieres Monday, Oct. 24 at 8:30 p.m. on CBS.
