A story about Jennifer Aniston and her late mother’s ashes is NOT true, Gossip Cop is told. We can exclusively correct the mean-spirited report, which, not surprisingly, comes from one of the tabloids.
As Gossip Cop reported, Aniston’s mother Nancy Dow died in May at the age of 79. At the time, the actress said in a statement, “We ask that our family’s privacy be respected as we grieve our loss.” In Touch, however, is not respecting that request.
In this week’s issue, a cruel headline blares, “Jen’s Final Insult To Her Mother: She Doesn’t Want Her Ashes.” Writing that mother and daughter had a “deeply flawed relationship,” the magazine says “their feud goes beyond their grave” now as Aniston “continues to turn her back on her late mom.” It’s specifically claimed Aniston said “I don’t want them” in regards to Dow’s ashes.
“She was an absentee daughter and now, even with Nancy gone, it seems she still doesn’t want her mom around,” a so-called “family insider” is quoted as saying. Tellingly, though, the tabloid makes no mention of Aniston being pregnant, as the outlet wrongly insisted repeatedly in June. That’s because In Touch had no idea what it was talking about back then… and still doesn’t now.
A rep for Aniston exclusively tells Gossip Cop of this new ashes story, “It is complete crap and not one ounce of it is true.” Gossip Cop would add that In Touch isn’t just inaccurate, but insensitive, too.
